Information Architecture
What drives a person to interact with a surface? Colour? temperature? texture?
Information that passes from the host surface to the palm experiencing the event becomes rich with personal experience.
My background in visual communications has led me to believe that vision of a graphic architectural plane can evoke a sense of memory. Not just of one's own but of what is perceived to occur in imagining another.
This is true of environmental information also; one's experience in a space defines a memory of their experience with nature through moisture in smell, refraction of light through rain drops and temperature through radiation. This memory reflects a time and place for the individual but also gives them a sense of what is to come. As a designer of space, the Architect gives tool to construct this new intuition.
